Bruce Wayne

My Pug, Bruce Wayne, has had his fair share of ups and downs, and Kristina has helped him tremendously throughout his rough spots. Bruce had a herniated disc which led to a spinal lesion that had to be removed, resulting in surgery. Some of his nerves were damaged and he was left slightly ataxic and partially incontinent. He has been seeing Kristina almost every week for massages, to help his muscles adapt to their new stresses, as well as help his surgical wound to heal without scarring underneath his skin or edemas. To say the least, Bruce is always very happy to be in Kristina's arms, usually falling asleep or snoring, and very relaxed while she works her magic on him! Bruce has improved progressively every week and continues to progress after every massage. Not only does she help Bruce, but she helps by explaining what exactly she is helping to fix and how, which I love to learn about, and helps me when discussing his care plan with his team of doctors and specialists. Bruce and I are eternally grateful for Kristina's wonderful services and advice!

LolaMeet Lola. She is our 8 year year old black Lab and my shadow. About 1 year ago she came up lame on her right hind leg and virtually stopped using it altogether. After
a couple of vet visits they could not really pin point a reason and thought she might have a tumor on her toe. I decided to research alternative treatments and was soon to discover the muscle in her right rear leg was beginning to atrophy. With the help of swimming, acupuncture and regular massages from Kristina Dodge, our beautiful girl is nearly 100%. Kristina is truly a wonder worker and so incredibly patient with my finicky lab. She has a deep understanding of what our dogs need and is extremely knowedgable. I highly recommend Kristina to all dog owners. Amanda Batinich & Lola |

Initially, I took my Eurasier, Tyler, to Kristina for grooming. I was searching for somebody who could deal with his dense undercoat, separation anxiety, and significant arthritis. I breed, show, and compete with English Mastiffs and take my dogs’ wellbeing very seriously. I was told good things by the staff at Autumn Green, so I booked a grooming session. Kristina, Tyler and I worked out an arrangement where he enjoyed the grooming as long as I was present and Kristina got an extra hand to hold some of his coat out of the way. She also gave him regular breaks where he could sit or lay down, so his arthritis didn’t flare up. I was very impressed with her patience and willingness to work with Tyler’s foibles. During a subsequent grooming session, I learned of her massage offerings. I immediately booked a session for one of my older English Mastiffs, Eva.
Eva had been getting regular chiropractic treatment but was still moving stiffly for a 4-year-old. I was absolute amazed at the results after her first massage. She was moving more freely and was less grumpy with the younger dogs. With that success, I immediately brought a young English Mastiff puppy, KitKat, who was still limping despite surgery for shoulder OCD, chiropractic, and cold laser therapy. Kristina and I talked through a massage treatment plan and booked a total of four sessions for KitKat. I was worried that she was still in pain, and I had hopes for her in the conformation ring. During the session, Kristina released scar tissues around the surgery site, and we left that day with fingers crossed. The next morning, I watched KitKat tear around the backyard with the rest of the dogs as if she had never had surgery. (KitKat never had a show career – her height disqualified her. She and my husband are now working on obedience titles instead. We’re even considering agility.)
Instead of cancelling the remaining sessions, I brought in Eva’s brother, Abe. Abe never did well in the conformation ring, after a promising start to his show career. When he gaited around the ring, he would drop his head and completely threw off his topline. The day before a big show, he had cold laser therapy, chiropractic, and massage. We were thrilled when he got his first major at that show. Eva got the remainder of the appointments, much to her delight.
I saw the benefits of massage, and now it is part of our ritual for preparing for the Mastiff National Specialty. Kristina gets them looking pretty and then a massage, so they move pretty too. I’m always impressed with the enhancement I see on the athletic dogs and amazed with the improvement I see on my older or injured dogs.
I love that working with Kristina, I have another treatment option for my dogs. Her care, compassion, and knowledge are evident in everything she does. I am constantly recommending her to friends who talk about their senior dogs, heavy coated or performance dogs.
